Changing your Minecraft username?

Does anyone know, if you change your username, does that f#$K up everything?

Do you lose your ranks, towns, claims, permissions, etc, or does the server cope with it okay?

So as far as I know it SHOULDNT mess up anything apart from money and mcmmo
I know towny very rarely messes up but just take a screenshot of your money and mcmmo and you should be fine.
