Dead upon spawn

When I logged in this morning, I was dead. I'm not suuuper upset cause I have just started, but I think it's highly annoying that I spontaneously lost an entire inventory

 

Oof, actually, I had all my essence on me cause I just learned how to upgrade it

I think you most likely logged out in combat or so

Unfortunately items are not refunded due to deaths, and it's recommended you ensure you log out in a safe location, preferably after ensuring you are not or have not been in combat recently. ​

 

I was in the wilds, but it was definitely safe

 

But when you log out on a multiplayer server, anything can happen in that area. Things get built, placed, destroyed, etc. Being in the wild is not stafe, under any circumstance. There's always a risk.
Unfortunately items won't be refunded, and the owner has confirmed nothing can be done.
