    Hi, so I just made my cow chef grinder, and I am worried about hopper limit.

    It should warn you once you pass it, like why doesn't it anyways? and please, someone in the replies explain it to me.

    My guess would be because you can't track that reliably. You can use statistics and see the difference between blocks placed and blocks broken to get an 'estimate' of how many they have placed, but that can be easily exploited to give yourself more hoppers (ie. breaking random hoppers in the wild would put more negatives on your 'currently placed' total).

    Better question is: how hard is it to count to 50?

    thanks for your reply, but imagine someone in your town decided to place more hoppers what would you do then?
    there needs to be a warning just in case you placed an additional one by mistake, or someone placed more just to annoy you ;_;

    Tell them that they passed the limit and to remove some to get back down to 50. If they don't, report the build. If it's such a big deal to you, break all your hoppers and only carry 50 around as that's all you'll use

    Dragon, that is a good idea but if you build something for someone else, ie a grinder that you won’t use than those hoppers would show up as yours cause you placed them. If someone goes 1-2 over, I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue since some people don’t use any or very few.

    And if you place 50 for a town grinder than everyone in town can access, than have 10 for your own personal smeltery, you are over but only 10 are really “yours” how do you account for that?

    It’s really just a matter of being responsible with your hopper use.

    I fully agree with blazingwither,as I was once banned when this rule was offically rolled out on the rules list( it was kinda on a list but not physically on /rules). There really is the warning but in my situation, I was banned for an hour or enough time for jordan to shread my gaurdian farm sorting system to pieces and he must have unbanned me when he finished as its not in my /history. This was also my first offense with this rule. But something I have heard is that when Mojang coded hoppers, they made them extremely unoptimized and if that is true a plugin might be able to fix that( I know some mods that fix it but not on a server side of things as far as i'm aware).
